How Do I... Participate in a Monday or Saturday WIP Critique?
1. Have you registered on the Round Rock Writers Guild forum?
YES: Go to 2 NO: Register by clicking the “Register” link at the top of the page
2. Have you attended a meeting?
YES: Go to 3 NO: Let us get a look at ya! Come join us at Lamppost Coffee for one of our Work In Progress (WIP) meetings so we can meet you and you can become familiar with our process. New members don’t need to participate, as they do not yet have access to submissions. Just come listen, and be prepared to say the following phrase: “I laughed. I cried. It became a part of me.” Don’t worry, we’ll tell you when.
WIP meetings happen every Monday from 6 pm to 8 pm, and every 3rd Satuday of the month from 11 am to 1 pm.
3. Can you see a header labeled “Works in Progress” with the following boards in it: “Mon WIP” and “Sat WIP”?
YES: Go to 4 NO: Create a private message. Your recipient should be “admin”. Tell us who you are, which meeting you attended, and that you want to participate in WIP. Yes, you have to go to a meeting first. It's a privacy matter. Trust me, once you put your darlings out there, you'll be glad for this hoop.
4. Have you RSVP’d?
YES: Go to 5 NO: Find the appropriate thread under the “Works in Progress” header and tell everyone you’ll be going. Follow the format outlined in the first post and upload your submission. Make sure you read through all the other submissions by the meeting and have your notes ready!
5. There is no 5! There’s just four easy-peasy steps!

Hi I'm coming to the meeting on Monday. Last year I participated in the South Austin Writers group, but they are closing down and I'm now living closer to Round Rock.
I've written and self-published a historical fiction book. I'm now working on a themed memoir and I write a blog about traveling through people and plants.
